The Modality

What Is CranioSacral Therapy?

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on therapeutic modality born from Osteopathy. CST helps the whole biodynamic human release structural and fascial restrictions, as well as energetic and emotional holding patterns. This eases strain and pressure on the delicate central nervous system, improving its function.

Many other systems of the body — digestive, musculoskeletal, respiratory, circulatory, and more — may also improve. CST helps you find a better place of balance and harmony with every session, allowing for deep relaxation, self-healing, and recovery. The central nervous system is continually assessing both the outer world and our internal world to maintain homeostasis — when it's struggling, we struggle. As a facilitator, Lori Ann's role is to support the body's innate self-healing wisdom.

What Does a CranioSacral Session Look Like?

During a session, you lie fully clothed on a comfortable massage table. Using refined palpation skills, the therapist assesses and gently treats restrictions in the CranioSacral System — the fascial membranes, cerebrospinal fluid, cranium, and sacrum that surround and protect your brain and spinal cord. There's nothing to push through and nowhere to be — just the quiet space your body needs to unwind, realign, and reset at its own pace.

CranioSacral Therapist · 30+ Years' Experience

Hi, I'm Lori Ann Glass. With more than 30 years of education and experience, my focus is on you — the client. As a CranioSacral Therapist, my role is to facilitate, educate, support, and provide guidance for your healing journey.

I've studied and applied CranioSacral Therapy for a decade in my soft-tissue injury rehab practice as a massage therapist and athletic trainer. CST has become my primary modality — it allows the body to unwind, realign, and receive something it didn't know it needed. I use a thorough intake process, integrate advanced orthopedic techniques when helpful, and collaborate with providers across the Southwest when a multifaceted approach best serves your health.
